The Stitch That Changed Maria’s Life

Maria’s calloused hands ached as she scrubbed floors in Lahore’s wealthy homes. At 17, she earned Rs. 200/day—barely enough for her family’s rent. "Christians like us don’t get good jobs," her mother sighed.

One Sunday, her pastor announced: "Unseen Mankind is offering free tailoring classes!"

For 3 months, Maria secretly attended workshops after work. Blisters turned into precise stitches as she mastered her craft. When she presented her first self-made dress to her employer, the woman gasped: "You MADE this?"

Today, Maria runs a small shop earning Rs. 1,500/day, mentoring 5 other Christian girls. "That one stitch of hope changed everything," she says.
