My story

This Christian Aid Week, at St Edyth’s Church, we believe in the power of music to bring hope, healing, and unity. This Christian Aid Week, we invite our entire community to come together for a special evening of hymns and worship songs – not just to sing, but to stand in solidarity with those who are suffering around the world.

In Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, and many other places, families have been torn from their homes, lives have been shattered, and futures remain uncertain. But through Christian Aid, we can make a real difference. Every note sung, every voice raised, and every pound given will help bring food, shelter, and peace to those in desperate need.

Come and join us at St Edyth’s on Saturday, 17th of May 2025 at 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm for a heartfelt night of praise and purpose. Let’s lift our voices for those who need hope the most. Together, through faith and generosity, we can shine a light in the darkest places.

All proceeds will go to Christian Aid’s work for refugees ad world development.

How your money helps

This Christian Aid Week, you can support communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

In places like Guatemala, extreme weather is destroying crops, deepening hunger and threatening livelihoods. But with the right tools and training, farmers can build sustainable futures.

Every pound you raise could help:

  • Provide climate-resilient seeds to help families grow food.
  • Fund water conservation techniques to protect crops.
  • Support vital training so farmers can build a sustainable future.
